How to Become Tainted in 5 Easy Steps - Brought to you by The Spreading Taint

Welcome to The Spreading Taint application process. It is quick, easy and relatively painless. However, it is absolutely necessary for you to complete the application process in order to join the guild:

Step 1: Please read our guild Charter. You will find it under the General heading in the left side menu area of this site. All members are required to agree to it.

Step 2: Next, complete the application below. Please make sure to answer all questions - unfortunately, your application may be rejected if you do not answer all the questions.

Step 3: Wait for an email response to your application. If it has been more than a few days with no response, check your spam folder or talk to an officer in-game.

Step 4: While you wait for an email response, please create an account on the website. The link for “Create an Account” can be found on the top right portion of your screen. Once you have created an account, you can add your characters. If you need detailed instructions, see the FAQ below.

Step 5: When you receive an acceptance, please follow the instructions in your email as to the next steps, including how to go about getting an invite to the guild from an officer in-game.

After you have done this, you are finished! Sit back and let the Tainted bliss wash over you! Welcome to the wonderful world of Taint - the most twisted place in WoW!

FAQ:

Q: I want to join solely for raiding. Is that okay?
A: If this is the case, we recommend that you do not fill out this application just yet. Instead, look at the "Taint Raiding" guide in the link to your left. Contact one of the raid leaders listed and then you can decide if it makes sense to join the guild.

Q: How do I create an account and character?
A: Click on "Create an Account" in the top right menu area of this site and fill in the boxes with the correct information. Look for an email within a few minutes from the website. Follow the confirmation link in that email. Next, log into the site with your account information. You will see a new link in the top right corner under your username which says “create a character” and add your character’s name and details. After you finish, you should see that character listed under your account name on the top right portion of the screen.

Q: I used to be a Spreading Taint member but have been away for a while. Do I need to apply to the guild again?
A: Probably not. If you can still log in to your old Spreading Taint website account and access the member-only sections of the site, then you are still a member in good standing and don't need to reapply. Just join our invite channel to be reinvited to the guild, or find an officer if you don't remember the channel name.

Q: Do you have an alliance guild?
A: No. However, Taint has a very close relationship with < The Stonewall Family > and its related guilds. Their website is www.thestonewallfamily.com.

The Spreading Taint is a mature social guild that is primarily intended for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender players and their straight friends. Please explain why you want to join The Spreading Taint?

Have you ever been a member of (or applied to) a Taint guild previously? If so, please list the characters and the reasons why you left or were declined membership.

Are you a member of any of the other LGBT-affiliated guild or groups in World of Warcraft or any other MMORPG? If so, which ones?

How did you hear about The Spreading Taint and what led you to our website? If referred by a friend in the guild, please list their character or forum name.

If you are applying to Taint primarily to raid, please answer the following:

Have you already spoken with a raid leader of one of our 25-man raids? If so, which one, and what is the status of your raid application?

If not, are you applying to raid casually with Taint? Why do you feel that Taint would be the best raiding environment for you?
